As a new entrepreneur, and especially after I started growing some, I was very proud of myself.
I used to be very concerned with me being the creator of my business.
It was as if I cared more about being the smart guy.
“I’m the entrepreneur. It’s going to be my idea.”
It’s not like I wasn’t listening, or reading, or going to seminars, but I was really focused on me being the creator of my success.
There was a turning point, when it became clear my ego was getting in the way of growth.
That was the day I became far more interested in the outcome and the result that I was seeking.
The “result” was a Dream Business to support my Dream Lifestyle.
I’d only work three days a week.
I’d live on a boat.
The results became more important than me being the creator of that success.
From that day forward, I started letting go of my ego.
Rather than fuss over things being “my way or the highway”, I purchased speed and enlisted the support of those who make me better than I could be sailing solo.
I became the CEO, the rainmaker, the dealmaker.
I focused on my legacy and helping others by creating a lucrative virtual mastermind.
That’s when I really started opening up and investing with different coaches and mentors. I started letting other people lead the way.
They shared different strategies on how to make that happen.
If you’re not growing enough in your business, maybe it’s because you have a skill and a talent which is the basis for your business.
But maybe that skill or talent doesn’t include the best way and the fastest way to get you to where it is you want to be.
So maybe you need to invest with coaches and mentors and make it happen.
And that means you have to turn off your ego a little bit.
Make the outcome that you desire in your Dream Business more important than how you get there.
Let’s make it happen!
