At my Dream Business Academy events I talked about how everyone has seeds of greatness within them – but unless used properly, this greatness would go forever go unrealized.

Planting seeds that grow to become a big beautiful field of wild flowers is an interesting metaphor for what successful entrepreneurs go through.

The “out of the blue guru” who appears on the scene all of a sudden doesn’t tell you about this part.

Think about the journey a simple seed goes through before it becomes a beautiful flower.

It is separated from its friends and pushed alone into the dark soil.

It gets wet, hot, cold, and is all by itself in the dark.

The seed must endure several uncomfortable days before it finally cracks its shell and starts to push up towards the heat of the sun.

Eventually, if it survives, it begins to see the light of day and blossom into something magnificent.

Similarly, there are countless “wantrapreneurs” who have seeds of greatness within as an entrepreneur, but their talent and dreams remain sealed on the shelf because they never take action on their dream.

Those who do have the courage to start a business must endure some dark, lonely, and scary times.

They’re likely very uncomfortable and have to do many scary things before their seeds of greatness begin to see the light of day and grow their business into something beautiful.

A packet of wild flower seeds has the potential to become a big beautiful field of flowers, but only after the seeds go through a period of stress, trial, and uncomfortableness.

So remember, when you look at any successful entrepreneur, you’re seeing the finished product.

What you don’t see all of the dark and scary times that flower from the seeds of greatness!
