One of the best things about being your own boss, something entrepreneurs and small business owners (are supposed to) enjoy, is freedom.

That’s right – you’re the king or queen of your own castle, and nobody will challenge your authority!

The buck stops with you, and whatever you say goes – whatever decisions you make are always deemed correct.

Finally, there’s no longer a boss on the top floor who’s going to question why you did something, or more importantly why you didn’t do something.

And that’s the problem for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Let me explain.

Success Leaves Tracks.

That means there are people who have ‘gone before you’ who have achieved varying degrees of success operating in your niche.

They’re doing the same thing you do in your business.

Today, it’s super-easy to see exactly what other entrepreneurs and small business owners did to achieve their success.

You too can seemingly do the same in your business.

And that’s where “entrepreneurial stink” comes into play.

Entrepreneurial stink affects entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Entrepreneurial Stink is the need to take a great idea, a proven formula or a ‘beyond question’ success strategy and either change it to make it our own, or dismiss it as non-relevant to your business.

(If it sounds like I’m speaking from experience, I am. I have earned the right to speak like an authority on this subject.)

As the king or queen of your own domain, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to!

You have no boss or higher authority to question your judgment – other than yourself when you’re alone with your thoughts.

Yes, freedom can be good for entrepreneurs and small business owners. It can also impede your growth if you are not “all in” on creating your Dream Business Now.

Allow me to share an example or two, based on what other entrepreneurs and small business owners have shared with me.

You’ve obviously heard that becoming an author is a great way to increase your credibility.

However, you fear that writing a book that might be “less than perfect” with your name on it will invite an onslaught of criticism.

Or, you agree with yourself that you’re so busy you don’t have time to write a book.

(All the while, you spend hours and hours posting away on Facebook.)

But that’s okay – because remember, nobody is going to question or challenge your decision.

Want me to share some more hard-fought battle scars to help you avoid the delays I encountered?

Perhaps you know that writing and publishing your book, becoming a speaker, hosting your own live events, or investing money to hire a business coach can accelerate your growth.

But you let your checkbook say no – and as the king or queen you have the freedom to say to yourself,

“Nobody is going to question my judgment on what is best for my business. I will become successful and create a Dream Business and live my Dream Lifestyle without having to do all of these things, just watch me!”

As the president/founder/CEO or chief ‘whatever your title’ of your business happens to be, you have the freedom to make these decisions and more.

As I’ve stated, nobody will question your judgment.

The "3 AM" moment is what entrepreneurs and small business owners dread. It's also their liberation.

Nobody, that is, until you are lying awake at 3:00 am unable to sleep.

You’ll be wide awake because, despite all of your desire for success, you still struggle to keep the lights on.

At that point, alone with your thoughts, as the king or queen of your business, you might ask yourself:

  • How come I own the business and I am always the last one paid?
  • Why am I still struggling, unlike other entrepreneurs and small business owners, working 80 hours a week for far less pay than I made at my last job?
  • Why am I always working from one client to the next, unable to create a steady stream of new prospects?

As I said earlier, I talk on this subject with absolute authority because this was my life as an entrepreneur.

There are a few things I can tell you that have helped many other entrepreneurs and small business owners like you.

When you’re tired of being the king or queen…

When you start to care more about achieving your goals and less about your ego…

When you’re ready to learn from someone with a proven track record growing successful businesses faster (even if you have to borrow it)…

When you finally realize that success has much less to do with perfection, and more to do with providing outstanding value…

Then, I believe, you will grow a Dream Business.

Entrepreneurs and small business owners deserve freedom.

Some years ago, I let go of my ego, manned up on every level, and kicked every fear to the curb (and no, it was not easy or fast).

That. my friend, is precisely when substantial growth started to happen.

Today, I have my Dream Business where I run my various companies working three days a week.

Does this sound good to you?
