They say, “Misery loves company.”

However, this should not be comforting to entrepreneurs who are struggling.

It should scare the hell out of you!

If you’re commiserating, and otherwise being comforted by other entrepreneurs, who are also not doing well, you need to change who you are spending time with, immediately!

Misery may love company, because misery feeds off of misery.

If you want to feel more positive, hopeful, creative and energized, spend time with more people who are positive, hopeful, creative, and energized.

Harsh as it sounds, this also applies to some family members and current friends.

If you’re working hard all day to build your business, taking risks and doing bold things, and then get together with friends who are pessimistic, and bemoan and complain about everything, you are doing great damage to your entrepreneurial brain box.

Or worse yet, they tell you that you’re crazy to risk so much on your ‘pipe dream’ and point out all of the reasons you shouldn’t be doing what you’re doing.

Friends like this, even well-meaning friends, are DAMAGING your ability to create the success you so strongly desire.

If you want to feel better about taking risks, get new friends.

If you want to feel better about launching a new program; if you want to feel braver about publishing a book when you barely passed high school English; if you want to know the shortcuts to profitability, and just as important, how to avoid costly mistakes, then get into a mastermind group with other winners and successful entrepreneurs.

They will not only pull you forward, they will also, on occasion, push you forward!

If you want to be more successful, spend more time with successful people.
