After 16 months of devastating unemployment and my first scare with cancer, in October 2001 I was feeling rather lost.
I prayed for wisdom and guidance and the good Lord told me to start a business.
At first, I asked if perhaps He had a wrong number, but He convinced me.
My first business was writing and producing newsletters for local business owners.
Five years later I started creating multiple online businesses including No Hassle Newsletters, my flagship Done-for-You newsletter program that has served over 1200 small business owners in 8 countries.
Other successful businesses I started along the way included

All of that led me to start my Dream Business Mastermind and Coaching Program in 2009.
Having barely passed high school English, I then thought it was a good idea to write and publish 7 business books!
In 2009 I created Newsletter Guru TV, a weekly web TV show that morphed into Dream Business TV.
Shortly after that I later started my weekly podcast, Dream Business Radio, which just recorded episode 578!
Along the way, I’ve created some awesome courses and resources, including:

- How to Create a Lucrative Virtual Mastermind
- The Ultimate Dream Business Home Study Course (which is a compendium)
- The “home study” version of How to Sell From the Stage Like a Pro
Of course, it’s fun to share the ‘highlight reel’ such as 3-day work weeks and cruising the east coast for five years aboard our Floating Home.
We don’t talk about the 80-hour work weeks, often with no pay, sleepless nights, tears, fears, self-doubt – and early on a pile of scary debt.
Many entrepreneurs say that in hindsight if they knew then what they would have to go through, they likely wouldn’t have started.
Crush the fears that, in the thick of it, became ‘do or die’.
I’m so grateful I persevered and had coaches and mentors pushing me.
It has been an incredible ride, and one that is fast approaching the exit ramp in 2024, whatever that looks like!
